Established in 1920, A.R. Peters and Son is a family farming business based at Plashett Park Farm, Ringmer.

Our sole business is and always has been farming and therefore we have built up considerable expertise at managing a wide variety of land. We believe that the only way to maximise the varied soil types of Sussex is with a traditional rotation including livestock, and to this end we have always practised mixed farming.

logos We received leader funding for two beef monitors and calf weigher. All animals coming onto the farm are now EID tagged and weighed and followed all the way through the system.

Having the two beef monitors means that we can have two groups of animals in exactly the same air space the only difference being their feed, giving us an exact way of seeing what ingredients effect growth rates.
