Wildlife

Wildlife_page_smThe farm map of Plashett Park Farm is exactly as it was in 1936 when we took on the farm. No generation of the Peters family has removed any hedgerows or ponds and the traditional wooded shaws which provide such a rich habitat for wildlife are all intact.

The farm was one of the first into the Countryside Stewardship Scheme and we are now in Higher Level Stewardship on nine hundred acres of the land we farm. Independent bird and plant surveys show over one hundred bird species and one hundred and sixty plant species thriving on this land.
